Current president Erik Thijssen has been re-elected as president of the European Pig Producers Club, which boats more than 500 members from 25 different countries.

Thijssen said the organization focuses on providing practical information for its members, as well as offering useful networking opportunities in an effort to help pig farmers learn from each other. Jürgen Winkelmann has been elected vice president, succeeding Franz Meyer zu Holte, who was given honorary membership of the club in recognition of his long service.
