The Institute for Feed Education and Research, a charitable organization seeking to sustain the future of food and animal feed production through education and research, named Oscar Javier Rojas Martinez as the recipient of a scholarship.

Martinez, a student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, received the scholarship in the form of a travel and registration grant to the Feed Industry Institute, the educational conference hosted every two years by the American Feed Industry Association's Purchasing and Ingredient Suppliers Conference. Martinez is currently working on earning his doctorate degree in animal science.
