To fulfill the requirements for supervision from animal husbandry sectors, China Telecom’s Wuhan branch has established an “Online Pig Production Disease Prevention Information Platform” in order to improve the informed management level of the Wuhan area.
The principal purpose of the platform is to upload supervisory videos to the Internet and enact long-distance supervision of the 45 large-scale breeding areas under the control of Wuhan City’s Huangpi District’s animal husbandry department. Using the long-range supervision video system, breeders can preview hog house images in real time and gain an understanding of pigs and their health conditions. In addition, Huangpi District breeders can offer real-time previews to out-of-area customers, and experts can use this long-range video supervisory system to give guidance to the area’s pig breeders.
