South African Ross roadshows focus on poultry farm output

Aviagen's annual South African Ross roadshows, organized by Ross Poultry Breeders, focused on maximizing farm output during a week of presentations.

Talks were given on the importance of data handling and analysis, the science of fertility, maximizing saleable outputs, and preparing broiler breeders for sexual maturity. "One of the key messages that came out of the presentations is that given the economic restraints felt across the area and the world, it is vitally important that farms make the absolute most out of their assets," said Puzant Dakessian, Aviagen's regional technical manager.
