Southern States Cooperative's Roanoke Feed Mill has been named 2012 feed mill of the year in a annual program sponsored by the American Feed Industry Association and Feedstuffs.
The annual award recognizes overall excellence in feed manufacturing operations. Increased safety, quality, regulatory compliance, operating efficiencies and overall industry awareness of food safety are among the criteria reviewed for each applicant. Kent Nutrition Group was named runner-up.
