Church's Chicken recently introduced a modular restaurant concept in Lawrenceville, Ga., which officials say will decrease new-store costs by up to 30 percent.
The kiosk is 350-square-feet.
The units will allow franchises to save on insurance premiums, taxes, fees and utility costs, according to the company. The format also lets franchises avoid working with a general contractor.
