IARW, IRTA elect officers at annual convention

New officers and directors of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses and the International Refrigerated Transportation Association were elected at the IARW-WFLO-IRTA Annual Convention and Expo in March 2009, according to press releases from IARW and IRTA.

New officers and directors of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses and the International Refrigerated Transportation Association were elected at the IARW-WFLO-IRTA Annual Convention and Expo in March 2009, according to press releases from IARW and IRTA.

IARW officers elected for the coming year were Chairman Larry Laurin, of Conestoga Cold Storage; Vice Chairman Mark Blanchard, of New Orleans Cold Storage; and Treasurer Garry Tilburn, of Reed Boardall Cold Storage Ltd.

New at-large members elected to the IARW Board of Directors include Barry Fischetto, of Millard Refrigerated Services; Peter Quinn, of Montague Cold Storage; and Mark Rumsey, of Zero Mountain, Inc. 

In addition, Douglas Thomas, of Bellingham Cold Storage Co., was re-elected to the Board of Directors. Michael Black, of VersaCold, was re-elected as the representative from the Southwestern Chapter and Thomas Poe, of Crystal Distribution Services, was re-elected as the Heartland Chapter Representative.

New officers and directors of the IRTA are Chairman Andrew Janson, of Hanson Logistics; Vice Chairman Chris Kozak, of Willis Shaw Express; and Treasurer John Williamson, of E.L. Johnson's Sons and Mowat.

The other members of the IRTA Board of Directors elected are Brenda Goble, of ICS Logistics; John LaRue, of Port of Corpus Christi; Matt Luckas, of Hanson Logistics; M.K. Wong, of OOCL; and Paul Zottoli, of MSC.
