Alltech founder receives award for connecting Irish, American business

Entrepreneur Dr. Pearse Lyons, president and founder of Alltech, has received the Ireland-U.S. Council’s Award for Outstanding Achievement for strengthening economic ties between U.S. and Ireland. The annual award honors an individual who has enhanced business relationships between the two countries. A keen businessman and celebrated visionary, Lyons was praised for his work to establish economic bonds with Ireland as the leader of Alltech, a global animal health and nutrition company headquartered in Nicholasville, Ky.
