Dr. Hugo Medina, one of the most respected veterinarians in the egg industry, passed away on November 30 after his lengthy battle with cancer. He worked for Sparboe Farms from 2003 until 2011. In 2011, Medina went to work for Center Fresh Egg Group and was their director of animal health.
Center Fresh CEO, Jim Dean, was quoted as saying “It's a sad time for us and his family. He made huge contributions to the success of our companies, and I can't put into words how he will be missed.”
