Frozen poultry, pork facility to be built in South Carolina

Millard Refrigerated Services has plans to build a distribution facility in North Charleston, S.C., according to the South Carolina Commerce Department. The plant will freeze and store poultry, pork and beef products for export.

Millard Refrigerated Services has plans to build a distribution facility in North Charleston, S.C., according to the South Carolina Commerce Department.

The plant will freeze and store poultry, pork and beef products for export. Work on the $42 million building is expected to begin in the spring of 2013 and hiring should begin in the summer of 2013. Operations are expected to start in 2014, and the plant is expected to employ 87 people.
