International Feed Industry Federation signs agreement with OIE

The International Feed Industry Federation has signed an official cooperation agreement with the World Organization for Animal Health that aims to facilitate and strengthen cooperation between the two organizations, in particular with the regards to the prevention and management of infectious diseases. The agreement also aims for the the support for the development, updating and implementation of OIE standards and guidelines, and desires to strengthen linkages between feed safety and food safety, according to the organizations.

The agreement also aims for the the support for the development, updating and implementation of OIE standards and guidelines, and desires to strengthen linkages between feed safety and food safety, according to the organizations. “I am delighted that the IFIF has signed this cooperation agreement with the OIE," said Alexandra de Athayde, International Feed Industry Federation executive director. "They are a critical organization in the feed and food chain, and the IFIF looks forward to work closely with the OIE to contribute to improved animal health and productivity, which in the end leads to a positive contribution to public health.”
