Urschel Laboratories Inc., a manufacturer and seller of high-capacity food cutting equipment, has outgrown its existing 250,000-plus square foot global manufacturing headquarters in Valparaiso, Ind., and plans on constructing a new 350,000-plus square foot state-of-the-art facility in the neighboring area of Chesterton, Ind.
The purchase of approximately 160 acres will allow for future growth of the company, according to Urschel. The company is expected to break ground at the new location in the spring of 2013 with construction completion slated for sometime in 2015.
