Publix revealed the contents of a new specialty sub its shoppers created, which contains ham, turkey, roast beef and Swiss cheese on Italian five-grain bread with lettuce, tomato, banana peppers and mayonnaise.
During the week of January 21, the retailer let shoppers vote on a different part of the sandwich, including bread, meat, cheese and add-ons. The voting took place on the Publix Facebook page.
The winning creation was revealed January 25 on the Publix Facebook page. Within an hour of posting the winner, more than 1,000 people “liked” the post, and nearly 150 commented on it.
