The evolution of the 2013 International Production & Processing Expo, which includes its addition of the American Meat Institute, parallels the focus of the programs Novus International will be presenting throughout the show, according to the company. Novus said it aims to foster a better understanding of the connections that exist throughout the entire supply chain, the challenges that must be faced at all points in this process and the nutritional solutions and services that can help producers be more efficient and ultimately, more profitable.
“Today’s consumer is better educated about how the food they are eating is produced and nutrition tops the list of their concerns,” said Dr. Scott Carter, executive global marketing manager for Novus. “As a health and nutrition solutions company, Novus understands how each step in the supply chain can directly influence the quality of the end product. Not all customer demands are best met at processing and sometimes feed cost decisions made at the production stage end up costing more than they save."
Novus is sponsoring multiple events during IPPE. The events began with an educational luncheon at the Georgia World Congress Center on January 28, featuring Andy Vance. His presentation, "How We Impact Consumer Trends," discussed current consumer trends and how these trends impact the poultry industry as a whole. The American Meat Institute also discussed this topic in a Consumer Trends session held on January 29, and will be doing so again on January 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. For a complete listing of all Novus events during IPPE, visit www.novusint.com/ippe2013.
