Feed mill seminar updates mill managers

Poultry feed mill managers met in Nashville for the 2009 Feed Mill Management Seminar to keep up with the latest ideas and new technology for mill operations, according to a press release by conference sponsor, the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association’s Poultry & Egg Institute.

This year’s program included presentations on:

• new emission standards,
• working with OSHA inspectors,
• dealing with high ingredient costs,
• soybean unloading technology,
• boiler efficiency, and
• pelleting conditioners.
