Norel appoints South Korea distributor

Norel has appointed a new distributor for South Korea, Korea Thumbvet Co. Ltd., for several products such as flavors and sweeteners, probiotics, anti-oxidants and acidifiers in that country. Led by the company's president Dal Joong Kim and based in Seoul, the company was founded in 1973 and has experience as a supplier of veterinary medicine and feed additives for swine, poultry, ruminants and aquaculture in South Korea.

Norel has appointed a new distributor for South Korea, Korea Thumbvet Co. Ltd., for several products such as flavors and sweeteners, probiotics, anti-oxidants and acidifiers in that country. 

Led by the company's president Dal Joong Kim and based in Seoul, the company was founded in 1973 and has experience as a supplier of veterinary medicine and feed additives for swine, poultry, ruminants and aquaculture in South Korea. Since 2001 the company has been a member of Harim Group, a pioneer in chicken, swine, feed and animal health care in Korea.

Harim Group has nine main companies in Korea, and operates 10 branches in the Philippines, Vietnam, China and the U.S. The total compound feed produced in South Korea in 2012 was 16.8 million metric tons. Poultry accounts for 28 percent of the total, swine represents 27 percent, and dairy and beef has the major share with 36 percent of the volume produced.
