Quick-service restaurant chain Burger King is bringing more poultry products to its lineup, introducing the Turkey Burger.

The Turkey Burger is part of Burger King Worldwide's new spring menu, which introduces 12 new items.

"Our signature fire-grilled burgers are the foundation of the Burger King menu, and we are excited to offer our guests more variety as we celebrate Burger Fest," said Flavia Faugeres, executive vice president and global chief marketing officer, Burger King Worldwide Inc. "With something to appeal to every guest, we invite everyone to join us and share our passion for great-tasting food by trying all of our delicious new options."

The fire-grilled Turkey Burger will be topped with fresh-cut lettuce, sliced tomatoes, crisp red onions and mayo all served on a warm, artisan-style bun.

This is the first time the chain has sold turkey burgers. The spring menu offers will only be available for a limited time, but sources have said if the Turkey Burger is popular with customers, it could become a fixture on the permanent menu.

The spring menu includes other poultry-based dishes, the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Wrap.
