Feed federation elects honorary member

At the 26th Congress of the European Feed Manufacturers' Federation in Cracow, Poland, the general assembly elected Dr. Helen Raine  as honorary member for her achievement in the European feed industry in the area of feed and feed safety legislation, feed assurance, risk and crisis management, as well as for her defense of Intellectual Property Rights.

At the 26th Congress of the European Feed Manufacturers' Federation in Cracow, Poland, the general assembly elected Dr. Helen Raine   as honorary member for her achievement in the European feed industry in the area of feed and feed safety legislation, feed assurance, risk and crisis management, as well as for her defense of Intellectual Property Rights. She joined the European Feed Manufacturers' Federation as a member in 2004, has been an expert in the Stakeholder Consultative Group on Emerging Risks and became chairperson of the International Feed Safety Alliance in 2005. She is the seventh honorary member since the federation was founded in 1959.

Raine holds a PhD in Animal Nutrition from the University of Reading and has been a member of the Institute of Biology and a Chartered Biologist. She worked at major United Kingdom feed businesses and was appointed Research and Marketing Director of ABN Ltd. in 1994.
