Vet+i, the Spanish technical platform for animal health, has launched vetresponsable.es, designed to encourage the responsible use of veterinary medicines. The multi-stakeholder initiative has been designed for veterinarians, livestock producers and pet owners and explains the benefits of drug registration, responsible use and pharmacovigilance.
Vet+i was established some five years ago with the aim of strengthening responsible use and pharmacovigilance in Spain through training and communication.
As well as being aimed at various groups, the new website offers some species specific information as well as general rules of good practice.
