Prince Agri Products received the "Safe Employer 2012 Award" from the Quincy Area Safety Council and was named one of "Nebraska's Safest Companies" by the National Safety Council.

To promote a safe work environment, the company uses daily operations calls, weekly employee meetings, monthly safety committee meetings and a quarterly internal newsletter that includes safety articles. The company also holds an annual Safety Day focusing on safety issues outside of work, sends monthly safety tips to off-site employees and visits with its customers and vendors to learn about their safety best practices.

Tim Costigan, vice president of manufacturing, quality and regulatory affairs, said these and other safety activities helped the company achieve its best safety record ever in 2012. "We're very proud to win these two awards, which reflect a continued focus on safety at every level of our company. We recognize that our employees are our greatest resource and strive to maintain the safest possible working environment," Costigan said.
