Danish piglet exports increase in 2013

Danish piglet exports are continuing to increase in 2013. However, the rate of year-on-year growth is less marked than in 2012, according to the BPEX xport Bulletin.

In 2012 piglet exports increased by 15 percent setting a new record exceeding 9m head, in the January to April period this year shipments were 4 percent up on the year at 3.2m head. As in previous years, it is mainly 30kg pigs that are exported.
