Novus, a feed supplement supplier, will participate in the 102nd Annual Poultry Science Association meeting on July 22-25, 2013 in San Diego, Calif. The event will bring together educators, scientists, administrators and producers from different parts of the world to discuss relevant and current topics for the global poultry industry.

"Novus is dedicated to developing poultry health and nutrition solutions based on strong and innovative science," said Dr. Chris D. Knight, senior vice president of research and development at Novus. "We're proud of the work that the Novus research scientists and collaborators will be presenting at this year's meeting. It is very important to us to continually create solutions that will help producers around the world be more efficient."

In addition to sponsoring the opening reception, Novus will be presenting its latest research and findings on topics relevant to the poultry industry through a series of four oral abstract presentations and two poster presentations. Novus will also be presenting two awards, the Novus Outstanding Scholar Award and the Novus Outstanding Teacher Award. The recipients of each award are selected based on their work in and outside the classroom, along with their efforts and commitment to the poultry industry.

To commemorate the memory of Dr. Andrew Geisen and the body of work he contributed throughout his career to both the poultry industry and as a valued member of the Novus International team, the Poultry Science Association has created the Andrew Geisen Memorial Scholarship. This ongoing special scholarship award will be presented to deserving students to help pay for their graduate school fellowships.
