Jaclyn Amiss joined Motomco's technical sales team as territory manager for the east central United States, representing Motomco rodent control products to poultry and swine producers, as well as farm store chains, independent dealer stores, and crop input suppliers in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky.

In this newly created territory, Amiss works with dealer distributors and their sales representatives to increase market share through new product development, promotional strategies, attendance at sales meetings and buyer shows, and other growth strategies.  She provides technical support and education on the use/marketing of Motomco products to customers.

Amiss also advises integrators/producers, agricultural crop growers and pest control advisors on ways to control commensal rodents pertinent to their operations, including conducting on-site visits and advising them on setting up comprehensive rodent control programs.

Raised on a family farm in Indiana, Amiss brings a strong agricultural background to her position at Motomco. She was active in high school in Future Farmers of America (FFA) and 4-H showing cattle, sheep and pigs, and was a member of the livestock judging team in college. She earned a B.S. in Animal Science from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, in December 2012.

While in college, Amiss was a sales intern with Elanco Animal Health in Owatonna, Minn., representing swine antibiotics and feed additives to veterinarians and swine management companies in Nebraska and Iowa. She also designed and conducted a study on improving animal handling and transportation losses for a key Elanco client.

Her experience with swine was broadened through a quality-assurance internship with Indiana Packers Corp, in Delphi, Ind., where she conducted daily pre-operational inspections and hourly sanitary and food safety audits throughout the plant.

Amiss is based in Indiana and can be reached at [email protected]
