Tyson Fresh Meats has named Keith Culver as vice president of new product sales and production. In his new role, Culver will oversee Tyson's value-added meat efforts, which includes operations and sales for the Bruss Company, a subsidiary involved in producing steaks and chops for the restaurant industry, as well as the company's meat processing sales and operations in Emporia, Kan.

Culver is assuming the role held by Charlie Mostek, who is retiring after 44 years with IBP and Tyson Foods.

Culver joined IBP in 1988, and he has held various positions in marketing and sales for beef and pork. He most recently served as vice president of national account sales in retail, overseeing the western half of the U.S. for Tyson Fresh Meats.

A native of Iowa, Culver earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Iowa State University.
