‘Transitioning from Academics to Industry’ presentation aims to inspire, challenge students
Bill Lovette, president and CEO of Pilgrim's, will be the keynote speaker at the USPOULTRY College Student Career Program opening session that will be held in conjunction with the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE). Lovette's presentation, "Transitioning from Academics to Industry," will inspire and challenge students to work industriously toward achieving their career goals as they move from academics to the work environment.
The USPOULTRY College Student Career Program, along with the International Student Career Program, gives companies an opportunity to interview top national and international students for industry-related jobs and internships in one location, during a three-day period. The program involves over 400-500 students from national and international universities and has been an important aspect of the hiring process for many companies for more than 40 years.
"Bill Lovette is an alumnus of the USPOULTRY College Student Career Program and an industry leader for one of the largest poultry producers in the world, so who better to inspire students of all they can accomplish in the poultry industry? We are excited about his participation and know that this enthusiasm will extend to the students as they hear and learn from Bill," said Alan Duncan, Mountaire Corporation, and chairman of the USPOULTRY College Student Career Program advisory committee.
IPPE, the world's largest annual poultry, feed and meat industry event, will be held January 28 - 30, 2014, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga. The USPOULTRY College Student Career Program is scheduled for January 28 -30.
