House of Raeford Farms, with corporate offices in Rose Hill, N.C., and their employees provided much needed assistance to thousands of individuals and families in the communities where the company operates during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.

Through Faithful Love Offering for Christ's Kingdom (FLOCK), the House of Raeford non-profit outreach arm, over 83,000 pounds of turkey and chicken were donated to North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Louisiana employees, food banks, feeding programs, and a wide variety of local organizations whose mission is to provide food and other support to those in need.

In addition, employees in four facilities held food drives to assist residents in their communities with donations of non-perishable food items. Associates at the Rose Hill and Wallace, NC plants as well as Nash Johnson and Sons' Farms in Rose Hill and the Arcadia, LA plant participated in the Angel Tree program, providing a variety of gifts for foster children and youth from low income families. In many cases this would be the only gifts they received this Christmas.

"FLOCK endeavors to provide guidance and care for those in need", said Curtis Carr, director of community outreach for the company. "We try to responsibly distribute our resources to help meet these needs with House of Raeford Farms' associates as well as worthwhile local organizations with likeminded objectives."

"We are constantly amazed at the number of caring people in our communities who provide aid to others who are less fortunate", Carr continued. "It truly blesses us to be a partner in their efforts."
