Lohmann Animal Health International has promoted Matthew J. Pietraszewski to the position of senior scientist. As a Lohmann senior scientist, Pietraszewski will work on developing new products as well as improving existing Lohmann products. He will collaborate with other scientists to design, plan and execute experimental research protocols, and research ways to apply and develop innovative scientific methods to poultry vaccines.
Pietraszewski joined Lohmann Animal Health in 2010 and has worked as a research molecular associate. Before joining Lohmann, he was a graduate research assistant and teaching assistant at the University of Maine. During that time, he gained experience in molecular biology, virology, immunology, bacteriology and signal transduction.
Pietraszewski earned a bachelor's degree in microbiology and a master's degree in biochemistry from the University of Maine.
