The happy egg co is a brand of the U.K.'s Noble Foods, and was launched in the U.S. in late 2012 via 240 Kroger/Ralph's stores in California. Its first U.S. free-range egg farm was established in Arkansas and operates to U.K. standards and protocols.

The happy egg co is the only egg company 100 percent free range certified under the new standards announced by Humane Farm Animal Care (HFAC) this year, although the company points out that its standards go beyond those required by HFAC.
