ADM names new president of grain group

Archer Daniels Midland Company has appointed Chris Boerm aspresident, grain. In that role, he will oversee ADM’s U.S. and export grainbusinesses, grain merchandising operations and destination marketingbusinesses.

Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) has appointed Chris Boerm as president, grain. In that role, he will oversee ADM's U.S. and export grain businesses, grain merchandising operations and destination marketing businesses. The appointment is effective April 1.

"With more than two decades and a range of experience at ADM, Chris has the knowledge and proven leadership to manage and grow our grains business," said Joe Taets, ADM senior vice president and president, agricultural services.

Boerm joined ADM in 1991 and has served in a variety of merchandising and management positions. Prior to his current role, he was ADM's vice president, grain. Previous to that, he served as adviser, office of the chairman. He also served as the vice president and general manager of Eastern grain and corn processing origination and as a senior merchandising manager for corn processing. Boerm received a bachelor's degree in finance from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, and a master's degree in business administration from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
