Egg producer Herbruck's Poultry Ranch plans to invest $33 million over the next three years to expand its production facility in Saranac, Michigan. The company plans to add 50 new jobs as part of the Herbruck's Poultry Ranch growth plan.

To accommodate the expansion, Herbruck's will need to run a new $1.5 million public sewer line, which will be funded and managed by the company, but the line will not be used exclusively by the company, MiBiz reported. However, in an effort to reduce Herbruck’s costs, Lakewood Wastewater Authority is waiving the sanitary sewer connection fee of $405,000.

The State of Michigan is also supporting the Herbruck's Poultry Ranch expansion project, offering a $500,000 performance-based grant under the Michigan Business Development Program.
