Cloverleaf Cold Storage will open a refrigerated warehouse and distribution center in Monmouth, Illinois. The 235,000 square foot building is adjacent to the Smithfield Farmland Monmouth plant. Construction of the warehouse officially started May 16, with a groundbreaking ceremony led by Illinois Governor Pat Quinn.
Construction is scheduled to be completed by next spring and the facility has a projected opening date of April 1, 2015. The operation will create over 150 full time jobs.
