Jennie-O Turkey Store has promoted Ed Simes to the position of plant manager at its Benson Avenue plant in Willmar, Minnesota. Simes will replace Jim Freeland, who intends to retire on June 30 after a 35-year career with Jennie-O Turkey Store.

Simes has held numerous positions in his career with Jennie-O Turkey Store, having most recently served as director, further processing-raw.

Dwight Hoover is being promoted to succeed Simes. Hoover, according to the West Central Tribune, had been the production manager at the Willmar Avenue plant in Willmar since February 2010.
