Cal-Maine’s Steve Storm to chair The Poultry Federation

The Poultry Federation has named its board of directors and officers for the 2014-2015 year. The board will be chaired by Steve Storm, operations vice president for Cal-Maine Foods.

The Poultry Federation of Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, has named its board of directors and officers for the 2014-2015 year. The board will be chaired by Steve Storm, operations vice president for Cal-Maine Foods, while David Elam, complex manager for Wayne Farms in Danville, Arkansas, will serve as the vice chairman.

Other officers elected include treasurer James Smith, vice president of live operations, Simmons Foods; secretary Jim Smith, president of Keith Smith Co.; and past chairman of the board Shane Acosta, operations manager at Cargill, Springdale, Arkansas.

Elam will also serve as the chairman of the 2015 Annual Poultry Festival.

Board members for 2014-2015 include:  Russell Bragg, vice president of transportation and grains at O.K. Foods;  Don Burrows, complex manager at Pilgrim’s in DeQueen, Arkansas;  Trent Goins, President of O.K. Foods; Dr. Scott Gustin, director of veterinary services, domestic, at Tyson Foods; Bill Folk, complex manager at Butterball, Huntsville, Arkansas; Charles George, co-CEO and co-president of George’s Inc.;  Jason Godsey, vice president of further operations at Simmons Foods; Vaughn King, Western region sales manager, Aviagen;  Benny McClure, live production manager, Arkansas and Missouri Operations, George’s Inc.; Drew McGee; senior vice president/general manager raw poultry, Tyson Foods; Jerry Moye, president of Cobb-Vantress; and Duane Weems, live operations manager, Peco Foods, Batesville, Arkansas.

Two Allied membership representatives serve on this year’s board of directors.  They are:  Preston Stiles, vice president of Conveyor Technology, and Tim Scott, managing partner at Clearview Enterprises.  

The Poultry Federation staff

Marvin Childers of Little Rock serves as president of The Poultry Federation.  “Our Federation board of directors has a long-standing history of maintaining strong leaders who contribute to the long term prosperity of our industry,” stated Childers.  “This year is no different and we thank them for their time and dedication.” 

The association’s staff members include John Bryan, of Jefferson City, Missouri, vice president of Missouri operations; Tyler Norvell , Tuttle, Oklahoma, who handles the Oklahoma operations; Paulette Binkley,  North Little Rock, Arkansas, is the business development director; and Joyce Martz of Maumelle, Arkansas, handles the accounting.

The Poultry Federation is a tri-state trade association representing the poultry and egg industries in Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.  Offices are located in the capital cities of all three states.
