International Poultry Forum China to focus on H7N9, world market

International Poultry Forum China will take place September 20-21,2014, at the Kuntai Hotel in Beijing.

The third annual International Poultry Forum China will focus on the country's continued H7N9 challenges, which have led to decreased consumer confidence in the safety of poultry products and increasing environmental regulatory pressure. The overall international poultry market also will be a focus of discussion.

International Poultry Forum China will take place September 20-21, 2014, at the Kuntai Hotel in Beijing.  The two-day conference will feature speakers from around the world.

Topics for discussion during the first session will include food safety and supervision and the development of the Chinese poultry industry under a streamlined administration with a more decentralized approach.

The first session will feature a roundtable discussion examining how Chinese agricultural policy is being formed, the function of enterprise alliances for the poultry industry’s development, feedback mechanisms, and growth policies.

Topics for discussion during the second session will include breakthrough strategies for the Chinese poultry industry; industry development in Chinese, Brazilian and Mexican poultry markets; a report on poultry consumption in China; and an examination of food safety and enterprise responsibility. 

The roundtable discussion for the second session will include reasons for foreign investment in China, how to solve the problem of oversupply and raising consumer spending, Chinese poultry meat exports and an examination of Asian and African markets.  

The Forum will conclude with a roundtable discussion involving leading members of the new China Broiler Alliance (CBA). Members of the CBA will discuss the group’s strategic plan and how to promote the role of the CBA in the industry.
