T.C. Products Co. Inc., a premixes and specialty feed ingredients manufacturer, has changed its name to Tier 1 Nutritionals Inc.
Tier 1 Nutritionals provides contract manufacturing services to a range of manufacturers, innovators and marketers of branded feed ingredients, specializing in blending and compounding vitamin, trace mineral, enzyme and microbial ingredients. The company previously operated under its original company name since it was founded in 1957 by H. H. Thomsen and R. M. Comstock.
“We decided to change our name to Tier 1 Nutritionals to better reflect our company’s first-tier position in working with the micro-ingredients used to fortify and supplement animal and poultry feeds,” said Tim Jacobson, principle owner and president. “We specialize in compounding high-value ingredients that are used in very small quantities by manufacturers of complete animal and poultry feeds."
Tier 1 Nutritionals is HACCP-certified and a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Licensed and Inspected feed ingredient blending and packaging facility.
Jacobson joined the company in 2007, bringing with him 20 years of experience in the vitamin and fine chemical segment of the feed and human nutrition industries. Since joining the company, Jacobson has worked to broaden the scope and scale of the company’s manufacturing capabilities to meet the growing demand for specialized, value-added nutritional feed supplements.
