According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, IBGE, Brazilian 1Q GDP grew 1.3%, totaling R$939.6 billion (US$610 billion). The result is in line with the market analysts expectations and represents the eighth consecutive rise of the GDP.


Compared to the same period of last year the GDP grew 4.2%, ranking Brazil in an intermediary position in the world’s economies ranking. In the last four quarters, Brazil’s GDP grew 6.2%, according to the institute.
