Brazil's next harvest to reach 161 million tons

Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture announced the fifth estimate for the 2010/11 harvest: 161.5 million tons, 7.8% higher than the record harvest of 2010 (149.6 million tons). The cropland area for 2011 harvest, 48.9 million hectares, grew 5.1% compared to 2010.

The study used 56 corn samples.Xylanase targets NSPs in the fiber fraction of the grain to release captured nutrients.1Amylase increases the hydrolysis of starch, improving its digestibility, complementing the secretion of endogenous amylases by the bird and resulting in more energy being released to fuel growth.2Protease improves the accessibility of starch via degradation of the endosperm matrix.3 It also targets other ANFs in the diet, ex: trypsin inhibitors and lectins in soybean meal.4
