Brazil: sugar cane for aeronautic industry biofuel

In the stream of the search for renewable energy sources, Boeing, Embraer and BID will jointly finance a research project that aims at evaluating the potential of the Brazilian sugar cane as raw material for production of biofuel for the aeronautic industry. The pioneer project will also address the market and environment repercussions associated with the use of the biofuel made from sugar cane.

In the stream of the search for renewable energy sources, Boeing, Embraer and BID will jointly finance a research project that aims at evaluating the potential of the Brazilian sugar cane as raw material for production of biofuel for the aeronautic industry.

The pioneer project will also address the market and environment repercussions associated with the use of the biofuel made from sugar cane. Coordinated by Institute for Trade and International Negotiation Studies, ICONE, the researches on the use of sugar cane as raw material and its commercial and operational viabilities must be available in 2012.
