Brazil 2011 chicken meat exports grew 3.22 percent by volume

Brazilian chicken meat exports grew 3.22 percent by volume in 2011, to 3.942 million MT. Chicken cuts exports, which responded for 52 percent of the global exported volume, grew almost 5 percent; whole carcasses, 38 percent of the total, and salted meat, 4.89 percent of the total, grew below the average, while processed meat, 4.5 percent of the total, grew 6.5 percent.
