Retail marketing chains reduce chicken prices

Shufersal Ltd. slashed its chicken prices to $0.12 (NIS 0.49).

Israel-based Blue Square Ltd.'s brand Mega Bool slashed the price of fresh chickens to just US$0.003 (NIS 0.01) on purchases of more than $37.7 (NIS 150) at its supermarket in the Haifa suburb of Nesher, reported Globes [online] on May 19.

Other companies followed suit, with Shufersal Ltd. slashing its chicken prices to $0.12 (NIS 0.49) and supermarket chain Rami Levy Chain Stores Hashikma Marketing 2006 Ltd. offering chicken for $0.09 (NIS 0.39).
