Allen Harim expands its Human Resources Department
Adds Talent Acquisition Manager and Compensation and Benefits Manager
Allen Harim, a leading producer and processor of chicken on Delmarva, today announced it has filled two key positions in its Human Resources department. Judy Kerr has been named as Talent Acquisition Manager and Janet Phillips as Compensation and Benefits Manager.
“Allen Harim is growing quickly and our need for top-level human resources talent has increased exponentially,” said Sylvia Nicholson, director of human resources for the company. “Both Janet and Judy bring depth of experience and a passion for people, and we are excited to have put this team together.”
Phillips will focus on the development and maintenance of compensation and benefits packages for headquarters and facility management. She joined Allen Harim from Labinal Power Systems (Salisbury, MD), where she served as a Senior Human Resources Generalist. Previously she worked for the Wicomico County Board of Education, also in Salisbury. Certified by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) as a Professional of Human Resources (PHR), Phillips is also a Lean-SIGMA Green Belt. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from University of Maryland College Park. Phillips currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore. She lives with her family in Hebron, Maryland.
Judy is responsible for leading and driving the vision, strategy and execution surrounding all aspects of the recruitment and talent acquisition functions. She came to Allen Harim from BYNMellon, where she served as Vice President, Senior Recruiter for more than 16 years. Kerr earned a Bachelor’s degree from Nichols College (MA) and now resides with her family in Fruitland, Maryland.
