Mountaire Farms announces promotions of Phillip Plylar and Mike Little, along with appointment of Amanda Irwin.

Phillip Plylar has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Sales and Operations for Mountaire Farms. Phillip will continue to be responsible for all Mountaire production planning, business development, sales, and marketing activities, and will now also be responsible for all processing operations, food safety, transportation, rendering, and purchasing functions.  He will continue to report to Paul Downes, CEO and President.

Plylar has been with Mountaire for 19 years in positions of increasing responsibility, and has successfully led Mountaire’s Sales and Marketing Team for the past 5 years. Under his leadership in sales, marketing, and business development, Mountaire has consistently met its objectives for performance and growth.

Mike Little  has been promoted to Vice President of Sales for Mountaire Farms. Little will be responsible for all Mountaire sales activities, including retail, wholesale, food service, and export. Little will report to Phillip Plylar, Executive Vice President of Sales and Operations.

Mike has been with Mountaire Farms for 12 years, and has been a senior leader in international sales for Mountaire Farms. In his previous role as Director of Sales – Export, Mike grew the international sales business for Mountaire Farms through high-quality production, packing innovation, and superior customer service.

Amanda Irwin  has been appointed as Director of Business Development for Mountaire Farms. Irwin has responsibilities for the production planning and sales accounting functions for Mountaire Farms. She will continue to report to Phillip Plylar, Executive Vice President of Sales & Operations.

Amanda has over 15 years’ experience in the poultry industry, and at Mountaire Farms she has held positions in Live Operations, Processing Operations, and Sales.
