IMV Technologies, the worldwide leader in reproduction biotechnologies, has completed the acquisition of Nelson Medical, a leading Chinese manufacturer of artificial insemination products for livestock and companion animals as well as disposable medical consumables.
Since 2000, Nelson Medical has played an integral part in the artificial insemination industry by providing producers worldwide with products that deliver exceptional quality and performance.
With this acquisition, IMV Technologies increases its manufacturing capabilities and strengthens its presence in China and South-East Asia. IMV Technologies will also broaden its product offering to better serve its customer base worldwide.
Ronia Cao, founder and President of Nelson Medical will drive the medical strategic business unit in the newly opened Shanghai-based Nelson manufacturing facility. The facility offers increased cleanroom and manufacturing capacity for both the veterinarian and human markets. Eric Pan, General Manager of IMV Technologies China will lead all IMV-related operations within China as well as Nelson’s veterinary export sales.
This strategic acquisition will create greater efficiencies for IMV Technologies’ worldwide customers and partners and accelerate the delivery of complementing key animal assisted reproduction products.
