October 28, 2008—Aviagen has appointed Brian Whittle as president of its European operations, effective November 1, 2008.
Whittle has experience with a number of industries including poultry, pork and food. His most recent positions were as managing director for Grampian Country Foods’ pork division and chief executive of Cherry Valley Farms.
He replaces Val Mendeleev, who leaves Aviagen at the end of October to take up a position as CEO with a global group that includes one of the world’s leading beverage companies as well as operations in real estate, retail and agribusiness.
