Course on feed and petfood industry regulations

Dr. Joyce Bowling of the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is among the speakers.

The American Feed Industry Association has announced  a two-day course on the latest regulations affecting the feed and petfood industry.

The course, to take place near AFIA’s office outside Washington, D.C., on September 28 and 29,  is for professionals in the livestock feed and petfood industries who want to learn more about how the products are regulated by states and the federal government.

Dr. Dan McChesney, director of the office of surveillance in the Food and Drug Administration's Center for Veterinary Medicine, will make a presentation about the role of the CVM on September 28.

Dr. Joyce Bowling of the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is among the speakers scheduled to present information on September 29. Bowling will explain the role of her agency and provide details about the proper importing and exporting of animal products.
