Tippmann Innovation (Ti) recently partnered with North American Cold Storage (NACS) to design and engineer a revolutionary, 96,000-square-foot cold storage facility. The construction project is now entering its second phase. Once finished, North American Cold Storage will be the tallest cold storage facility in the area, allowing for greater efficiency and more accurate, timely SKU management.
With the second phase, Ti and North American Cold Storage will add over 7,000 more pallet positions. Ti worked with North American Cold Storage to install two-deep racking throughout the facility. Other innovations include a state-of-the-art warehouse management system, radio-frequency bar code scanning, electronic data interchange, energy management (including variable frequency drives) and high bay LED lighting.
