Randy Day, president of Perdue Foods, will be the keynote speaker at the USPOULTRY Foundation College Student Career Program opening session that will be held in conjunction with the International Poultry Expo at the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE). Day’s presentation, “Transitioning from Academics to Industry,” will challenge and motivate students to work diligently toward achieving their career goals as they transition from academics to the work environment.

The USPOULTRY Foundation College Student Career Program, along with the International Student Program, gives companies an opportunity to interview top students for industry-related jobs and internships in one location, during a three-day period. The program involves students from national and international universities and has been an important part of the hiring process for many companies for more than 40 years.

“Randy Day has 35 years of experience, and he has worked in almost every area of the company during that time at Perdue Farms, one of the world’s largest poultry producers. We know that his experience will extend to the students as they listen and learn from him,” said Mike Levengood, Perdue Farms, USPOULTRY board member and chairman of the USPOULTRY Foundation College Student Career Program advisory committee.

The program is scheduled for Jan. 26 to Jan. 28. Information on the Student Career Program can be obtained by clicking here.
