Feed federation president invited to attend UN meeting

Global industry leaders and heads of state will meet to renew commitments towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.

International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) President Fred Stephens has been invited by United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon to join a meeting at the UN Headquarters in New York on 25 September 2008 to discuss progress towards the Millennium Development Goals, a global partnership to reduce extreme poverty, hunger, and disease. The meeting will bring industry leaders and heads of state together to renew commitments towards achieving the goals by 2015 and to set out concrete plans and practical steps for action.
