Capital Feed Mill and HB Feed Mill, based in Pakistan, have been closed down by the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency. Both firms make animal feed, primarily for the poultry industry. They use animal by-products in their production. The plants have been accused of causing unnecessary smells and waste material in their production.
Closing the plants will create a shortage of poultry feed for farmers and processing plants will have to find alternative outlets for waste material, reports say.
