The National Poultry & Food Distributors Association (NPFDA) has presented the 2015 Member of the Year Award to Nick Stams and the 2016 Poultry Industry Lifetime Achievement Award to Earl Ishbia. They were honored during the NPFDA Poultry Convention in Atlanta on Jan. 27, in conjunction with IPPE.
Stams is founder, president and CEO of Stams Family Foods. His career includes work at Wayne Farms and nearly 30 years with Keystone Foods. He received the NPFDA New Member Recruiter award in 2014 and 2015.
lshbia has nearly 50 years in the food business. In 1969 he and partner co-founded Regal Packing Company, now Sherwood Food Distributors. A member of NPFDA since 1974, Ishbia has served on NPFDA’s board of directors and as president from 2001-2002. He was named NPFDA Member of the Year in 1996.
